i'm surrounded by windows
windows covered in raindrops from an hour ago
raindrops back-lit by a streetlight and the occasional passing car
every minute or so, a droplet loses its battle with gravity
and slips down the window to fuse with another
every time this happens
every little droplet that falls looks like a falling star
out of the corner of my eye
it's as if the night sky is disintegrating
all around me
right before my very eyes
through these windows that surround me
these droplets losing their battle with gravity
or are they falling stars disintegrating around me?
where am i?
am i in a car?
surrounded by windows covered in raindrops?
or am i drifting through the cosmos
and witnessing the disintegration of every glowing galaxy
